What an excellent article Steve.
 
I will be following up on all the Scriptures but just wish to add a thought about a saying that existed when I was a child growing up in the fifties in England and how it relates to Steve's reference to the bush in modern times. When I came in from playing outside my mother would say of me, "You look like you have been pulled through a bush backwards." This of course referred to my dishevelled look especially referring to my hair no doubt. Doesn't this capture the very essence of today's modern trendy male youths (here in Australia anyway) who have their hair deliberately styled (?) to look as dishevelled and untidy as possible. They are slaves to worldly fashion (?). Surely this untidy, dishevelled look cannot come from God?
