"Days of Noah"

I was reading this verse while listening to the news on TV.

Matthew 24:38

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

The news on TV had to do with one of the states having a referendum Tuesday on gay marriage.  It made me wonder; eating and drinking is part of the celebration after the ceremony.  The days of Noah were typified by the unnatural marriages between the fallen angels and the women they took to wife.

It brought to mind the scripture from the book of Jude where he likens the sin of the fallen angels to the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Jude 1:6 7

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

The fact that Jesus specifically points to marriage makes me wonder if the gay marriage issue may be the last catalyst before Jesus comes again.

I am so homesick.  Praying He calls us soon.
