"You Never Know with People"

"You Never Know With People..."
 
 
A school in North Carolina recently discovered that a first year Spanish instructor inserted the following encripted message in a word search puzzle:
 
 "Sharon killed a lot of innocent people in Palestine. Hamas is not a terrorist group. They have the right to defend their country. This is something that forms part of our freedom and dignity. Allah help destroy this body of evil that is making human life so miserable. Destroy America, a country where evil is sponsored."
 
 
The instructor subsequently  resigned and charges are now being considered by school officials.  But I was struck with the statement made by the 18-year old student who disciphered it: 
"I think some of the people in the class were kind of afraid, because how the world is today, you never know with people.  Even if you've known them for a while, they could turn out to be someone completely different."
 
 
Hear the Word of the Lord:
 
"Were not such warnings also contained in My Word?  Yet not secretly, but plainly for all to see and to heed? 
 
Is it not written,"evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."? Why then, are you embarrassed to discover you have been victimized, duped, and led astray by those whom you adored and given respect and honor? 
 
"And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered..."(Mal.3:15)
 
You have desired a champion like Saul--a king like the "other nations"; one to lead you victoriously in every battle., to absolve you of your refusal to be led of God.  You wanted the comfort and prestige of the beautiful churches you built, and installed pastors who shined in the eyes of the world.  You refused those who preached a strong word and only desired those who comforted and soothed guilt without calling for repentance. Yet it was the "strong meat" alone that could have brought you the discernment you so lacked:
 
"But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."  (Heb 5:14)
 
The enemy has already invaded; he is masked and armed.  For while you slept, he has overwhelmed like the roaches hidden in the walls of your residence.  Deception within, and deception without.  What was it you counted on to protect you? 
 
 
 
HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:
 
 
The time is at hand:  The days of basking in liberty without liability, religion without responsibility, spirituality without the Spirit, are fading fast.
I have given my people joy in revival, exuberance in miracles...yet the heart of this people did not give itself to FEAR ME and THINK UPON MY NAME.  And so they could not discern when the enemy crept among them.  Their eyes were upon one another, and not on ME.
 
Hear the words I have spoken:  I will spare those who have heeded and obeyed.  They shall not be deceived, nor will they become victims of the deception of the enemy.  For I will cause to come upon them a questioning and a pursuit of truth and wisdom--not from man, but from Me,   and in the days ahead, when fear strikes the heart of this people, they shall be covered and lead with My mantle of truth. 
 
 
"Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not."
 (Mal 3:16-18)
 
 
Was there ever a more critical time for us to heed this Word?
