There were 120 years before the flood in the times of Noah. Are we being given a period of 120 days to prepare now? This period of three 40 day segments began on 8-25 or Elul 1 and goes to 12-22 as the last day of Hanukkah begins with the lighting of all 8 lights on the 8 lamp menorah. We know that 8 can represent departure and new beginnings. It is Jewish custom to have either a real menorah with lit candles, solid color parafin or liquid or solid olive oil, placed in a window for others outside to see. Did the Christ tell people to let their light shine before men to then recognize and worship Abba Father in Heaven?
When the bride and her friends awaken some find that their lamps are going out. Have they placed their lamps on a windowsill for the groom and his friends to better find that house in the darkness? How many of us plan to celebrate Hanukkah in some way? Maybe this is about more than spiritual lamps and olive oil of the spirit. Maybe some literal lights on windowsills and/or kitchen tables will be looked for at Hanukkah time.
Bless you John Tng and all Doves. I hope to see you soon.Love and Shalom,
