Listen to the warnings in the Bible, direct from the mouth of our Great
Lord, Jesus Christ, who will come soon.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away; but My words shall not pass away.
 and take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged
 with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day
 come upon you unawares.
 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the
whole
 earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray allways, that ye may be accounted
 worthy to escape all these things, that shall come to pass, and to stand
 before the Son of Man !" - Luke chpt. 21:33-36.v.

I think it also speak of a special situation, event, because of this:
" For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves;
  it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" - Ephesians
2:8-9.v.

This all comes by the grace of God and is by faith (ours) not of works, -
salvation
is by grace and faith - BUT: Escape from tribulation only comes by works
(ours)!
" Watch therefore, and pray allways that you may be counted worthy to escape
   all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of
Man."
luke. 21:36.v.

Listen also to this words of Jesus: "And shall not God avenge Hi`s own
elect,
which cry day and nigth unto Him, though He bear long with them ?
I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Newertheless when the Son of
Man
cometh, shall He find *faith on earth ?" - Luke 18:7-8.v. (*that kind of
faith?)

Let us believe in Him, even when it not all happen on the way we thought it
would. Because He knows Hi`s elected ones - we can read about that a lot of
places, f.example in Romans 8:28-29.v. and in Malachi 3:16-18.v. - and not
to forget in Psalm 23 ! and in
Rev 3:10-11.v.

- Remember that the word of God is a living word, who do what God told it to
do, read in Isaiah 55:8-11.v. - And we also know that Jesus Christ is the
living word of God, - born among us, in flesh and blood. - Let us make our
hearts wide-open for Him with help from the Holy Spirit, and ask for being
maked clean and Holy in Hi`s blood, and filled up with that wonderfull love
of Jesus. Because as we all know: "And now abideth faith, hope and charity,
these three; but the greatest of these is charity !" - 1.cor.13:13.v.
