As I read through the Old Testement prophets I realize we have something very similar happening now. As we read their warning we find it incredible that the people did not see what was happening. Their hearts were deceived by allowing certain things in their life God warned about. I suppose it was just a little at a time, then eventually it took over their lives.
 
It seems the TV does the same thing. It is a thing we stare at like an idol. It certainly attracts our attention. We begin to watch things that are questionable. Humor somehow makes things more acceptable. Then we wonder why we can not hear from God anymore. I guess we do not realize that by allowing ourselves to drink in things that are questionable we soon drink in things that are sinfull, and we think nothing of it. It is like it says in the bible. "The deceitfulness of sin". Pretty soon our hearts are hardened and our discernment is gone.
 
Anyway I have decided to cut the sinful part out and will subscribe to sky angel. Its hard to consentrate on God when your mind is filled with clutter that you do not want to take into the throne room.
