THE MESSENGER BEFORE THY FACE

John  I took the time to read, in full, both the 2006 Transit of Mercury and the Hidden Prophecy in Psalm 106 - a challenge but truly inspirational.  Your love for the Word of God and its intricacies is amazing.  I am writing when, in Australia, Israel's clock is about to click past the 40 lunar years in the midst of an eventful week that in some way will be pivotal in the unveiling of His purposes for the church and Israel in this the closing part of 2006 (2006 has come, but not yet gone)..  There are two aspects that I would like to share, and these may already have been covered.

Malachi 3:1  "Behold, I send My messenger and he shall prepare the way before me".  Three of the gospels (Matthew 11:10, Mark 1:2 and Luke 7:27) quote this verse from Malachi, but not exactly - they refer to "I send my messenger before thy face".  Revelation 10:1 says that "his face was like the sun."  If we put these together we have Mercury - the fleet footed messenger - will pass across the face of the sun on 9 November 2006 (in Australia).  This is a strong pointer, with all the other evidence from the Word of God, to the imminence of His Coming.  Malachi 2:11 also refers to 'an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem'.  The gay march in Jerusalem on Friday 10 November is of deep concern.

Saturday 11 November is Remembrance Day, as it is known in Australia (Armistice or Veterans Day in other countries).  This Remembrance day is 88 years from 1918.  Malachi 3:16 poignantly talks of a "book of remembrance….of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on his name".  We do remember those who gave their lives in the Great War - 60000 Australians (a young and small country then), of whom 45000 lost their lives in Europe - a long way from home.  Jesus also gave His life a long way from home - lest we forget Gethsemane!      Maranatha   Denis
