"Nov.8, God's Date?"

Hello Doves,
Well we're still here. I personally had not been this excited over a potential date since 1988 ( although y2k was a close runner up). The Lord used 88 reasons to bring me into the family of God. I was in a motel room on a business trip when I read the book. It was full of Scriptures and The Word is so powerful. I didn't think The Lord was really coming then, but it caused me to examine my life, and realize He was coming someday, and I was spiritually bankrupt. So The Lord talked to me that night for the first time since I was a child, for several hours. We made some covenants...I was a businessman. I was so ignorant in my arrogance ....it makes me sick....but thank God for His grace and mercy....The last item I ignorantly negotiated was I said "ok...if my wife serves you...I will"....He said" ok " and that was the end of the conversation and I was saved at that moment. The next day I drove 225 miles home and when I sat on the couch my wife said " a funny thing happened to me yesterday.....I got in my car and drove to the preachers house and told him I wanted to get saved" Was I shocked. That was on a Friday and by Monday over 25 friends, relatives, and people who worked for my company(including a couple managers) got saved. This was a couple days after the 1988 date had passed. I did get a hold of the author Ed Wiesnannt and he sent me a box of letters from similar born again conversions...estimating over 100,000 new Christians. If their story is like mine, they have served The Lord happily these last 18 years. We all have. So even though The Lord didn't come on Nov. 8th.....I believe He still did a work. Agape Chuck Holler
