Overall, I
believe that most of Revelation is written in chronological order &
that being the case, was curious why the ministry of the 2 witnesses was
not even mentioned till chapter 11.
Now, it makes
more sense to me.
Okay, what
first struck me is that the world is going to SEE their resurrection and
rapture!! Unlike OUR
rapture – when only born again Christians (IMO) will HEAR the trumpet &
the order to “Come up here!” The
rest of the world may possibly hear “thunder” at the time of the rapture,
but I do not believe they’ll hear the trumpet.
What do you think?
But for the 2 witnesses it’s going to be different
– the world will SEE them ascend on a cloud going into heaven.
So – I just
kept thinking – well, if the world SEES them go into heaven [Rev. 11:12]
~ then wouldn’t this cause ppl to want to become Christians? Wouldn't that stir up a worldwide revival
when that happens? They will surely KNOW the 2 witnesses have been
called Home to heaven.
But no mention of a ton more ppl becoming Christians
“then”. Maybe, possibly because the world
will be on a definite side of the fence OR THE OTHER **by then**!! As we know, most will CHOOSE to
worship the dragon & the beast even by mid-tribulation period, when
the AntiChrist is resurrected. So, it could be the world as a whole
will already be reprobate during the ministry of the 2 witnesses.
The Christians
and converted Jews who are hiding out will be encouraged to know the 2 witnesses
are on the scene, scripted exactly according to Scripture.
So then I got
to thinking – okay, maybe there is no revival of people converting to the
Lord because the 2 witnesses are not raptured till nearly right at
the end of the trib. {which
would place them here, of course, during the last half of the tribulation....
a.k.a. the GREAT tribulation}
Now, granted,
after the resurrection & rapture of the 2 witnesses, the 2nd
woe is past & the 3rd woe is coming quickly – seems like
a whole lot more stuff has to happen, the world still has the bowl judgments
to go.
But, but, BUT…….
It’s IMO that the bowl judgments will all be placed during an approximate
span of the last couple of weeks of the tribulation.
Reason I think this:
once ALL the earth’s water is turned to blood [Rev. 16:4] and
with no fresh water to drink, then ppl will be able to sustain life only
for a couple weeks at most!!
(think: Terri Schaivo!)
The bowl judgments,
the worst of the worst, will come in QUICK succession at the tail end of
the trib – just like a trip-hammer. So by the time the 2 witnesses
are killed, the tribulation may be just a few weeks (at the most!)
from completely wrapping up.
Now, Rev. 11:10 speaks
of people the world over CELEBRATING their “sick joy” of the death
of the 2 witnesses – they "make merry" and even send gifts to each other.
10 And
those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send
gifts to one another,
GENERALLY, overall, there is “one time of the year” when
people worldwide “make merry” ~ and
you all KNOW when it is!! While I'm not saying this HAS
to happen at/during the season of Christmas, but that it's certainly a
possibility.
Carry on the
tradition, you know, without the actual, original meaning. I mean,
afterall, isn't that pretty much what the [secular version] of "Christmas"
is all about now? We recently were teasing our lil' neighbor
girls about Christmas being cancelled this year. My husband asked
them, "what would HAPPEN if Christmas gets cancelled?" Without
missing a beat, the lil' 5 year old said, "we wouldn't get any toys."
Hmmm ~ no toys,
huh? What about the mention of Jesus' birth celebration -- supposedly
the original meaning of Christmas. Well, we can overlook the
way a 5 year old child may think. But overall, isn't this the GENERAL
CONCENSUS of the world as a whole at Christmas? That it's all about
"gifts" [and then returning them on Dec. 26th] ~ but that's what the holiday
is ALL about?
You see what
I’m getting at? Where
I’m going with this?
If the 2 witnesses
are here during the GREAT tribulation, and if they are killed & the
world celebrates & makes merry & gives gifts to each other some
time CLOSE to the typical Christmas observance, and if that is destined to
happen some 7 years from this Christmas, then that means we will be going
up this very year.
Then if our
redemption is to be this year, it can yet be ANY TIME NOW ~ any day
in Nov; or even in Dec. (actually
clear to the end of January for the timing of this to be accurate – if it
is around Christmas time when the world celebrates the death of the 2 witnesses,
although personally I believe we'll be gone before Januaray. Also
remember the AntiChrist may need a little time in order to set us his kingdom
before the trib officially ignites, ~ thus, more reason why we would likely
be gone this month or next.)
An additional note, it would almost seem an "odd" time
for the rapture -- what, no Jewish feast date or anything? *smile*
But should it happen this year, would it make sense for it to happen BEFORE
"winter", while we are still in the autumn equinox?
That way -- "the summer has ended and we are not saved"
Scripture in Jeremiah would make a lot of sense!
And the basket of [almost overripe, Amplified Bible
says] summer fruit still sitting on the table ~ Amos 8 would make a lot
of sense, too.
So I join you in saying I'm all for it happening this
month! [hoping the Lord is all for it happening this month,
too! :)
Possible scenario:
We go up.
Peace treaty
is signed.
Time of Jacob’s
trouble begins
mid-trib AC
is killed
2 witnesses
show up
AC recovers
~ world awes over that & ignores & despises the prophecies of the
2 “old guys” standing in Jerusalem in SACKCLOTH…..
Hahha – world
has good laugh over it for the first several days or so..... then
it starts to get old. The 2 old guys are giving the Antichrist headaches
& the liberal media is talking about what a pain in the behind they
are. Everyone gets tired of hearing about them.
So would-be
"heroes" set out to try to wipe them out -- and instead are blazed
to death by fire coming out of the 2 witnesses mouths!

The world gets madder
than hornets over all the plaques the 2 guys bring upon them!
Soooo…. Naturally
they REJOICE when the 2 old buzzards are finally killed off – quite
possibly right before Christmas time, 2013

I do not agree
with his assessment however, that the great city where the 2 witnesses will
be killed may be Rome – I think it will be definitely be Jerusalem.
Anyway, don’t
know if I’m doing a very good job in explaining why I think the 2 witnesses
will be here during the GREAT trib, but just from what I’ve been looking
at, now I’m sure of it.
Also – in Rev.
11: 7 When
they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless
pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
Notice it is not the AC or even the FP who kills them
– it is satan himself.
