People seem to be reading too much into the analogy Jesus drew between the Days of Noah and the Days of Lot and miss the point which fits both cases equally. He was simply saying that the very day that the righteous were taken out, the judgement of God would rain down in spite of how everything up to that point will seem very normal, even prosperous. (People don't often think of the Great Tribulation being that way but when you have a one world government, one world religion and control over people through one world economic system, you will have the ingredients of both peace and prosperity).
