"THE "FAILSAFE" DECLARATION  MADE BY A GENTILE"

Greetings Doves

     In the process of making a sin-offering sacrifice, say a lamb, the man was responsible for shearing it and inspecting it for defects as per: Exodus 12:5 "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:". The man, before slitting the lamb's throat declared 'I find no fault with this lamb'. Since scripture requires two witnesses, as a "failsafe" secondary back up the priest affirmed the accuracy of the man's statement by saying "I find no fault in this lamb'. The "failsafe" declaration by the priest helped to guarantee that there were no liturgical/ritual errors which could literally prove to be fatal to the participants.

     In engineering terms a "failsafe" system is probably best explained by example. Suppose that one is installing a control valve in a flammable fuel oikl piping system. The valve is selected such that if there is a power failure, the valve would be shut by the force of a spring which would close the valve when de-energization occurs. Thus helping to secure the safety of the system.

     In full parallel with the Torah (Exodus 12:3 "Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:"), Jesus entered Jerusalem on the 10th day of Abib, it is called it "Palm Sunday" (See Matt 21:1-16,

See alsoMark 11:1-10, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19; For use of Palm branches see 1 Makk 13:51, 2 Makk 10:7, Psalm 118:25-26, Zep 3:14-15, Zech 9:9.).

     Just as the prototype, Jesus was examined for faults/"blemishes" when the prominent priests and scribes posed a series of questions to Yeshua: TEST questions: A. Matt 21:23-27, See also Cf  Mark 11:27-33, Luke 20:1-8, B. Matt 22:15-22, see also cf  Mark 12:13-17, Luke 20:27-40;

C. Matt 22:23-33. Jesus' replys stunned and astonished the crowd. He then proceeded to pose to them a series of questions over which the fumbled, bumbled and did not adequately respond; thus proving the fallability of mankind and their need for a perfect sin sacrifice and savior. In effect the ruling clergy was in the position of the "man" who brought the sacrifice. They examined Him, and found no "blemishes"!

      However there was a problem, the priests were the ones making the indictment before Pilate! Who would make the backup "failsafe" declaration to confirm His innocence??

     As it turns out A GENTILE, Pontius Pilate, acting in the capacity of "priest" affirms the faultlessness of Christ: In John 18:38-39 Pilate declares 'I find no fault with this man'. He could just as equivalentally said 'I find no fault with this lamb' -- "the lamb of God". Thus in this act we swee the covenant being opened up and made available for its dispensation by Gentile priests! Our God is Glorious!

     The sin was "transferred" into the lamb (See Exodus 4:4, 4:15). The sin transfer here was literal, the unclean spirits came out of (exorcism) the man (and his family) and entered the lamb (eisethesis). If the lamb was "provoked" (by the Holy Spirit) to move/make a fuss, the transfer could not occur. The priest told the man: 'Leave your offering here at the altar and go be reconciled (forgive) your brother. Jesus refelected those same words indicating that if he did not forgive his brother, neither would His Father in heaven forgive him of his sins. Thus unforgiveness in the man prevent his own deliverance -- hence the lamb would not "cooperate".  What is sin? Genesis 4:7 " If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is a demon crouching at the door; and its desire is to enter you, but you must master it.". (The first time a word is encountered in scripture is very salient and notable. In this passage sin is literally defined. The demonic croucher comes from the Accadian word "robes", obviously the text used here is not MT diplomatic, but eclectic). Jesus was 'silent' (did not offer a defense) as a lamb before its shearers -- Isa.53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.".  And we know Yeshua bore OUR sins IN HIS FLESH: 1 Peter 2:24 "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.". Christ did this knowing ahead of time the indescribable mental, physical and spiritual agony that awaited Him!

     In the secular arena, civilians join the army and die for their king, in Christ we have our King dying for us!  Who is like thee Oh God unto all of the earth,,,, THERE IS NONE ELSE!!!
