The miracle Jesus did, detailed below, is sometimes called ‘’The
miracle Jesus did twice’. About 5 years ago I was reading it, but it struck
me Jesus did not have to do the same miracle twice, so I prayed for understanding;
I received understanding. It’s not appropriate to call it the miracle
done twice but rather the miracle ‘slowed down’ or the ‘miracle in slow-motion.
Slowed down so that we could understand the ‘process’, ‘what really happens’.
Here’s the passage:
The Healing of a Blind Man at Bethsaida
22They
came to Bethsaida,
and some people brought a blind
man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23He
took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.
When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked,
"Do you see anything?"
24He
looked up and said, "I see
people; they look like trees walking around."
25Once
more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened,
his sight was restored, and
he saw everything clearly.
In this passage, PEOPLE had to bring the blind man to Jesus. Interesting,
as at other time the blind sought Him out. But this man was truly blind,
both physically and spiritually. Physically blind as it is apparent in
the passage. Spiritually blind as he did not recognize Yeshua as the healing
messiah.
Jesus took him out of town – where there were no PEOPLE. In the
Holy Land
in those days, once out of town PEOPLE were scarce. Jesus
touched his eyes, the man saw “PEOPLE” walking like trees. He DID NOT
see people,,,, he saw unclean spirits that had just come out of him that
were now in flight from him and Jesus.
Jesus touched him again and he saw everything clearly,,, he could
discern and also visually see, the physical part of the healing. Jesus FIRST gave the man a great gift of discernment,
First the exorcism which held the man mentally and physically blind, AFTERWARDS
the physical restoration of sight, the physical healing.
Our God is a God of order, you first get delivered of the demon
causing the problem, then the physical healing, in THAT ORDER!. For why
would God physically heal leaving behind the unclean spirit , only to
have that spirit re-wreak havoc on the person and ‘undo’ God’s healing!
All are aware of the story of the demoniac, the man with ‘legion’,
lots of unclean spirits in him. Unclean Spirits can control/manipulate
matter and energy; they operate under the same physical laws as we do,
however they are much more sophisticated at it.
This manipulation is seen in the activities of the warlocks Jannes
and Jambres, pharoh’s magicians. Their staffs turned into serpents, they
changed water into blood and worked their stuff with the frogs, imitating
Aaron and Moses.
In the demoniac the unclean spirits came out of the man and entered
the swine (pigs/ham), a more appropriate place for them as swine was (is)
an unclean beast. {I’ve sometimes wondered if consumers of pork would
have taken one of those infected swine and eaten it. Some would say, ‘I’d
bless it first’. But our ‘blessing’ would be ineffective, if Jesus put
them in the swine, man’s mere blessing is unlikely to counteract Jesus’
command}. Anyway, the demons entered the swine and the swine then jumped
into the lake and killed themselves.
Examine what happened, the demons enter the swine and override
the ‘biologically hard wiring’ of ‘survival instinct’. They drive the
swine into the water. Pigs, which have a high fat content are normally
bouyant, they float on water. The unclean spirits, manipulating the mind
of the pig, now manipulate the matter of the pig to suicide. Can it be
imagined the suffering and havoc they inflict upon a human host. This
is why people are so hurt and “act” strangely when infected.
Sometimes the “infection”
(sin – Genesis 4:7 “If you do well,
will not your countenance be lifted up? (B)And
if you do not do well, sin is a demon crouching at the door; and its desire
is to enter you, (C)but
you must master it.". ) goes almost unnoticed. Terrorists take
their weapons and during a public demonstration shoot them up in the air.
Why shoot at all? Unconsciously
they shoot upwards because they are angry and literally shooting at God,
though they don’t realize it. The demon of anger gets them to ‘shoot at
God’ and the shooter doesn’t even realize it.
Leviticus deems food to be clean or unclean because of SPIRITUAL
reasons, NOT just medical. Unclean animals (lions, bears, sharks etc),
are of the nature to kill man, and in so doing “destroy the image of God”,
as man is made in God’s image. If
one lives near a bay or ocean, drowning victims are sometimes extracted
from the water and shown on nightly TV.
The crabs, which were eating various body parts of a human, fall
off. A crab marketeer scoups up the detached crab and minutes later sells
it to tourists to eat. A weed such as poppy (opium) or marijuana, in and
of itself does not come to dominate a person, rather the demon its use
gives access to, dominates the person.
Tradition has us eating the same unclean foods over and over, generation
by generation. We do the same things over and over and expect different
results!!! We expect to see Apostles, but we do the same old stuff as
fore-generations. Perhaps its time to re-evaluate what the world before
us has done for 1900 years, perhaps we need to try and look through spiritual
eyes and act accordingly, according to what the Lord shows.
