"THE GOSPEL WAS KNOWN FROM EARLY ON"

Greetings Doves;

     There are some further interesting verses in some pseudegrapha (NOT the Nag Hamdi - Gnostic books). Some findings are: "Then will come Jesus the Messiah from your descendants out of a virgin named Mary. And God will become incarnate in Him until the completion of a hundred years." (Testament of Isaac 3;18-19). Note THIS IS NOT THE TESTAMENT OF Isaiah.!

      Again: "Adam said to Seth, his son, "You have heard, my son, that God is going to come into the world after a long time, (He will be) conceived of a virgin and put on a body, be born like a man and grow up as a child. He will perform signs and wonders on the earth, will walk on the waves of the sea. He will rebuke the winds and they will be silenced. He will motion to the waves and they will stand still: He will open the eyes of the blind and cleanse the lepers. He will cause the deaf to hear, and the mute to speak. He will straighten the hunchbacked, strengthen the paralyzed, find the lost, drive out evil spirits, and cast out demons.". (Testament of Adam 3:1-4.).

     The vorlages for these literatures are believed to be circa 200 BC. One thing is clear: Abraham had the euangelion (Gospel): Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.", Moses had the Gospel AND THE LAW & lived BOTH: Hebrews 4:1 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.". The prophet Isaiah, certainly preached the Gospel as his entire folio was, in essence the Gospel. Isaiah spoke of the same healings as Adam (Isa ch 9), the virgin birth etc. Job knew the Gospel: Job 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea." (Yeshua walking on water) Job 19:25 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:", Noah could distinguish between unclean and clean animals before gathering to the ark, Jacob did not give "torn flesh/meat" to Laban, Lot ate and served unleavened bread to the Angels before departing the city., Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all sacrificed clean (as opposed to scripturally unclean animals) in their sacrifices. This last part indicates a definite and distinct knowledge of Torah, in its true sense -- in oral form. Enoch, the 7th from Adam, knew the Gospel and that the Lord (YHVH) would return with teh thousands of His saints (Jude 14); and out of all the chapters in the writings of Enoch, the quote in Jude 14 appears early on in 1 Enoch 1:9!

     In the Dead Sea Scrolls "Liturgy of the tongues", tongues of fire fell on Moses and the 70 elders (Numbers 11:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee. 17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.).

     There is a theory afoot that in the First Testament (OT) that the Holy Spirit did not go "inside" people, but rather only "covered them on the outside", thus God did not "do things" the same way. As a rebuttal to this error of dispensationalism it is offered:  1 Peter 1: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.". The Greek word rendered "in" here is "en", which means "in", "into", "inside", "among". ALSO we see in Ezekiel 2:2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. And Ezekiel 3:24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

      Some also claim that the giving opf the Holy Spirit was first done on Pentecost (In the Book of Acts), that the tongues of fire initiated "the church'. The citations above show that tongues of fire appeared in the first testament, and that even the second testament tells that the Spirit was "in" people.

     Dispensationalism has caused so much spiritual weakness in the body of Christ, by inferreng that God "changed" or "does things differently now", to the "nullification of the law -- the commandments, mitzvot", that we no longer have a clear grasp of what God's laws are. This ignorance gives opportunity to hasatan to oppress and possess because we do not obey God's statutes, commands and laws. Could it be the churches, in general, seem so "anemic", that we do not seem to have Apostles whose very shadow can be a vessel of healing, because we do not really persue and live by the "Whole counsel" of God.? (Acts 20:27). Yeshua "did not come to annul the law or the prophets, but to fulfill". Fulfilling the law is in our time tantamount to say "paying the debt owed from a speeding ticket". Once paid the 'sin', debt is "paid for", BUT THE LAW THAT DEFINED WHAT SPEEDING, REMAINS IN TACT. PAYING THE TICKET DOES NOT VOID THE ORIGINAL LAW. This same concept applies to what Jesus did; the law remains to define sin, make necessary a savior for sinners in each generation. The law is not made invalid.
