"A Bloodless
Church"
I was listening to a minister on T.V. say that if your
minister is not preaching about the
blood of Jesus, then that church is probably deader than
a doornail.
Too many ministers are unknowingly getting involved with
things of the occult.
They read things that are written by people who are into
the new age philosophies.
After awhile, those ministers begin to lose their direction.
I know of some ministers, who do not believe that Satan
exists.
They say that Satan is just the Jews way of explaining
evil in the world.
The ministers today are wondering around in confusion.
They have lost their
sense of purpose.
They are caught up with wanting to be like the world,
instead of being separate from
the things of the world.
I use to enjoy Christian television, but anymore, they
have made too many
compromises and are becoming like the world. Be ye separate.....
We are in the world, but not of the world.
When Christian Musicians go around putting spikes in
their hair, and jump around
wildly, do they think this is pleasing to God? No, I
don't think so.
What ever happened to the sawdust trail? What ever happened
to repentance?
Are people too proud to kneel anymore? Are they too hard
hearted to care for others?
Are they ashamed to shed a tear or two? Does the mention
of the name of Jesus
embarrass them?
Have Churches become huge social clubs, where people
get together just to have a
good time? I call them entertainment centers. We are
so caught up with being entertained,
that we have lost the reason why churches exist to begin
with.
It is not to have a good time. It is to worship Jesus.
Not just praise Him, but to fall on
our faces before Him in reverence. To humbly bow before
Him and cry out for mercy.
When we get to the point that we don't feel we need to
repent for anything, then we
are in great danger.
Have we become like the Pharisees, who proudly went around
boasting of all the great
religious things they were doing?
Is anyone like the Publican, who just hung his head in
shame and said how
unworthy he was?
Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit
before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
When revival breaks out in this country, it won't be
like the days of Azuza street,
or the other great revivals.
I have heard of home churches, where people meet in homes
like they did in the early days of the apostles. I think
the revival will begin in
this type of an environment. It will be going on, but
it won't be noticed right away.
It will subtly spread across the nation, and will go
almost unnoticed by the world.
People will be giving their hearts to Lord, while the
established church continues on in
darkness. A bloodless church, devoid of power.
