Excellent insight as usual!  A couple of comments on your article.
 
Perhaps there WILL be a separation of time between the two Raptures.  As you wrote, there was a 1-day warning for Lot.  But there was a 7-day warning for Noah (7 years????).  As we well know, the Tribulation is going to contain LOTS of warnings!  :-)
 
As for our pets going in the Rapture... I believe they will.  There will be animals in Eternity, and why would He allow the pets of Christians to suffer the thros of the Tribulation alone, with no one to take care of them, simply because their owners were unfortunate (for our pets) enough to be saved, therefore Raptured?  :-)  The Lord loves ALL His creation, and His Spirit gives everything that lives His breath of life!
