ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Arab and European Union states have agreed to cooperate on global terrorism.

On Tuesday, six Arab and EU states issued a joint counter
Insurgency declaration at the Security and Safety Middle East 2005 Exhibition and Conference. The conference, sponsored by the United Arab Emirates, has taken place in Abu Dhabi.

"We condemn the terrorist attacks that targeted many countries in the world, including the last activities that targeted peaceful civilians at the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan," the declaration said.

The security declaration was signed by the interior ministers of Bahrain , Germany, Italy, Lebanon , Qatar and the United Arab Emirates . Officials said additional countries could sign the declaration.
