"THE CASTLE THE LORD DESTROYED"

Abraham received a promise, remembered by generations.
Your descendents will be as the sands of the shore, they will be
as numerous as the stars in the sky. Can you count them?
As humans, do we build of sand or stars and can we, of ourselves, reach
the latter?
In a lifetime, I have built of sand and tried to include the stars
in my kingdom.
Sand gets tossed by the tide and the moon is the Lord's witness,
his instrument as well.
The broken bits of earthly matter arrive on shore,
a defeated state, to be trampled on by foot. It settles in places not appreciated,
It is dead. It can not shine from within and will never move with a purpose.
We mix it with the ocean water that is not
The Water of Life...in vain.
We try in determination to reach a star status, not having height or stamina
to do so, still we try.
Do I wish to be broken, and dead, tossed about by the ocean? Or do
I long to be birthed as a celestial light with the Kingdom of God to
guide my path? I would still be a descendent even if I was sand, after all, it was the promise.
A star is born and a star can be extinguished that is The Almighty's decision.
A piece of sand can only be broken down further.
It travels aimlessly without course.
The kingdom I built was average, but it was mine.
I asked the Lord,
to preserve only the best for me.
In a breath he destroyed my kingdom of sand. He took my face in his
hands and said, now look at my face. And tell me...

...........I haven't preserved the best for you.
