"RE: Wes K, "I Know When The Rapture Will Take Place""

Blessings,

Wes stated:

"The references that were made from Matthew 24, were all directed to the Jews, as to what they could expect during the Tribulation Period. "

Matthew 24 states:

Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

Mat 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

(Then there is a lapse of time for them to at least travel to the mount of Olives from the temple area.)

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

(The remainder of Matthew 24, Jesus is going to answer these questions. He will tell them; "when shall these things be" -- the things Jesus spoke about earlier that day, "what shall be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the world.")

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

(These are obviously directed to more than just the Jews. Actually, if you are, "rightly dividing the word of truth," you'll realize that all of this is directed to the disciples. They are who Jesus is speaking directly to, and he is answering their questions. Yes, the disciples were Jewish, but they are also the foundation stones built upon Jesus and the church was built upon them. Matthew 24 is not just to the Jew. I would say that Matthew 24 is to the Jew 1st and then the Gentile. Now that's scriptural!)

Shalom, John
