Dear friends:

Last night on my computer, from a live streaming broadcast via Daystar, and from his Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, I was able to watch the nearly three-hour memorial service for Dr. Adrian Rogers, who went to be with the Lord on November 15.

It was a wonderful service, with eloquent messages from many people, some great preachers, some family, paying tribute to this unusual man of God.  His life was a rare gift to us.  Now he has gone on to his reward.

But the thing I remember most was when one of the speakers shared something that Rogers had once said.

The quote: "The burning ambition of my heart is to finish well."

He surely did.

Following his example, may we all finish well also.

For Jesus' sake.
