Dear friends:The world was recently stunned with the shocking, gruesome report of Muslims beheading three Christian teenage schoolgirls while on their way to their Christian school in Indonesia.
The brutality against innocents such as this we are experiencing in today's world is unimaginable. Surely, the academic pinheads who ponder and philosophize whether or not evil actually exists have had their questions answered. (Not really -- many are probably still in denial.)
I debated about doing this, but I decided to share a photo of one of the teenage girls on my Web site at http://www.choicesforliving.com/beheading.htm
I warn you, the photo is gross. Be prepared. Click at your own risk. The reason I decided to share it is because we Westerners need to face the reality of the enemy and be jolted from our comfort zones. Our enemies are not driven by "a religion of peace." They are bloody, merciless killers, and if our government caves to the leftist demagogues and their media enablers, they are coming soon after YOU and your loved ones.
If this little girl can face beheading, we can at least remember her experience, and say a prayer for her and others like her.
I am reminded that in the apostle John's vision recorded in the book of Revelation, he said, "I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast... (Revelation 20:4).
It is interesting that beheading is the main killing technique of the Islamic religion. The still lop off heads and limbs of their own people for various crimes in Islamic countries, and we know this has been done recently against their enemies by Islamists in Iraq. It is also interesting that the book of Revelation was written about the end times, and in our day radical Islam is the main force for evil in all the world, and growing. Some scholars even make a strong biblical case that the Antichrist will be a Muslim. Muslims themselves are looking for their "Mahdi," the Muslim messiah, whom we know to be a counterfeit messiah. Some of them believe their Mahdi is Osama bin Laden.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?.... Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35, 39, NIV).
Amen.
Jim
