Dear friends:This morning I spoke with Rev. Ron Patterson of Kentucky, who just got back from California and another periodic teaching trip.
He said he ran into the lady whom last year I had dubbed "the Calendar Lady," the one who, while she was looking at 2005 calendars in a store, reportedly heard the Lord say that she would not need a 2005 calendar, which made us think the rapture would be in 2004.
She told Ron that he did not report the story correctly, and knowing Ron, I believe there was a miscommunication somehow. She said she was told that she would "not need the 2005 calendar much longer." Ron says that she is a very credible person and not inclined to exaggerating or hyping things. He speaks highly of her as a solid Christian woman, and Ron has a lot of discernment.
Anyhow, she reports a vision the other day. She was lying in bed and heard the Lord say to her, "Look up." She didn't know whether to look up in bed or go to the window. She decided to get up and go to the window. When she looked out the window at the dark, night sky, she suddenly had a vision of a very bright sky, and then she suddenly heard many trumpets blowing. The sound was heavenly, unlike anything one would ever hear on earth. She immediately sensed that this was a sign of the near rapture.
Ron says that based on her experiences, this lady is totally convinced that the rapture is extremely soon and is going around warning everyone she sees.
Also this morning, a reader reported what Hal Lindsey said on his TV program, yesterday. "He said that he and Jack Kinsella were talking before the show about how every sign that they have studied for over 30 years is here now, all around us, for Christ's return (the rapture)."
Hal Lindsey reportedly said, "I am so happy that I am giddy just thinking about what is happening and how near it is."
