I wept a few moments ago.

Dr. Adrian Rogers has left us and gone on to glory and his reward.  What a great, great man.  I will miss him greatly, as will many.

The below e-mail announcement came to me this morning from the Global Pastors Network:

Dr. Adrian Rogers, Founder of Love Worth Finding Ministries, Pastor Emeritus of Bellevue Baptist Church, board member of the Global Pastors Network, and a gifted man of God passed away (September 12, 1931 - November 15, 2005) into the presence of the Lord early Tuesday after battling cancer and double pneumonia. No doubt, literally thousands who came to know Jesus because of his ministry met him at the gate as he stepped into glory and beheld the face of Jesus. Memorial details are incomplete at this time, but please continue to check web site www.lwf.org  for updates. Please continue to pray for his wife Joyce and the Rogers family!

Adrian Rogers was one of the greatest preachers of his day, maybe of all time, and a wonderful and gracious man.  He had one of the richest voices I have ever heard.  His sermons were always totally Christ-centered.  He never compromised.

In one his last last his television sermons, Dr. Rogers said that Jesus' return is so near "it could even be today, or next week."

For him, it was today.  He is now with his good friend, Bill Bright, who preceded him by two years and four months.

"Thank you, Jesus, for Adrian Rogers, and for allowing us to be alive to experience his wonderful life and ministry."
