I was interested in the various responses to Michelle's letter re her
grieving friend. The last one I would have to differ with. I have a very
good example of why someone who is born again can go through intense
spiritual attacks. That example is very well expressed in the recent movie
about Martin Luther, the father of the protestant church. It is a great
movie, very powerfull. Martin did not just nail a protest paper on the wall
of the Catholic church, which was a very legitamate complaint about a church
that had become very corrupt. He risked being burned at the stake like many
of his contemporaries. This man suffered tremendous spiritual torment and
demonic attacks. Think about this. Who do you think Satan will attack, a
luke warm christian or an on fire christian that will turn people back to
God. Like it says in the bible, the righteous will suffer persecution,
whether it is from people or the devil himself.

The second concept I differ with is the idea that somehow a demonic attack
is realy just a medical malody, like seizures. How far we have drifted from
the spiritual world when we feel uncomfortable acknowledging the frequently
documented cases of demonic influence referred to in the bible. What did
they just disappear? I would say considering the circumstances that the
world is now in that we are in the greatest time of demonic activity that
the world has seen thus far.

I do agree that this woman may have had some unclean spirtual power. Other
than that I would say that this young man also has a spirit of bitterness re
this situation and he has given satan a big open door. Irregardless he needs
our prayer and not just our advice.
