DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE
THESE SCRIPTURES?
“Beward of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits….” Matthew 7:15-16.
“Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
Many will say unto Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? And in Thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity,” Matthew 7:21-23.
“For we are not as many, which corrupt the Word of God:….” 2 Corinthians 2:17.
“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him,” 2 Corinthians 11:4.
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works,” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ,” Galatians 1:6-7.
“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily [subtly; deceitfully] to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage,” Galatians 2:4.
“From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm,” 1 Timothy 1:6-7.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils [demons];
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;…” 1 Timothy 4:1-2.
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away,” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily [subtly; deceitfully] shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction,
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of,” 2 Peter 2:1-3.
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant….,” 2 Peter 3:3-5.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world,” 1 John 4:1.
“For there are certain men crept in unawares [subtly; deceitfully], who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ,” Jude 4.
Questions Needing Answers
Now tell me, do you really believe these Scriptures? I’m talking to you folks who claim that you believe the Bible is the Word of God. You who claim to love God and His Word. You who claim to be “dedicated Bible believing Christians!” Yes, I’m talking to you! Do you really believe these Scriptures I have listed? Really?
You do? Then, in the light of these Scriptures, would you please explain to me why so many today who claim to be “Bible believing Christians” are so eager to hang the “Christian” label on every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Jane that appears to be even a little “religious?” Why is that? Today the President and many others in politics, many movie and TV stars, many sports celebrities, many in the news media, and of course many “big name” TV and radio evangelists and preachers, and a whole lot of people in other walks of life, are labeled “born-again Christians” the minute they appear in the headlines of the world news media. Any of these people today who even mention “God” or “Christ” in public, or who claims to be a member of any kind of “church” or “religious” organization, or who claims that they “read the Bible and pray,” or that does any kind of “charitable work,” are assured of being labeled “a born-again Christian.” Why is that?
In other words, why is it that any dog that comes barking down the street today making a few “Christian” noises can be assured of being immediately labeled “a born-again Christian?” Why is that? Why is it that people who claim to be “Christians,” who have the light of God’s Word and therefore should know better, will hunt with anyone’s hounds and run with anyone’s pack of dogs? Why? Does the Word of God not mean anything anymore? Folks, anyone can make a “profession.” Talk is cheap! Salvation is not! It cost the Savior His precious blood. Is it no long of any value?
Beware of False Teachers
Folks, if there is anything clearly taught in the above Scriptures, it is that the whole “Christian” movement would be infiltrated by deceiving, corrupting, wicked, even atheistic, unbelievers who would subtly slip into the churches, “pretending” to be “Christians.” Once on the inside, they sow their evil seed, and do all they can to corrupt and destroy the work of the Lord. Since the Scriptures plainly warn us about this; yea, specifically state it in some of the passages listed, then aren’t true believers supposed to take heed, and be very cautious about who they hang the “Christian” label on? Well??
The Lord’s Commands
The Lord said, “If ye love Me, keep My commandments,” John 14:15. See also verses 21 and 23-24.
Does God’s Word still teach God’s people to “try the spirits whether they are of God,” 1 John 4:1, or does it not? Are God’s people [true believers] living today still obligated by Scripture to “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing....,” Matthew 7:15, or have all “false prophets” and “false teachers” been eradicated from the ranks of “Christianity”? Does the Word of God still teach God’s people to be separated from the world, and from wicked “religionists” whose so-called “Christianity” is all mouth [hot air] and no substance? I could have sworn that 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 was still in the Bible. Am I wrong?
No I am not wrong! God’s Word hasn’t changed, but many today who “profess” to be “Christians” have certainly changed. These movie and TV stars, sports figures, news media, and politicians, including the President of the USA, and even some “big name” TV evangelists and preachers with so-called “great” ministries, can lie like dogs, drink booze like fish, gamble, do drugs, curse like sailors when they are out of the public eye, whore around, marry and divorce repeatedly, keep a mistress on the side, cheat and steal, accept bribes, and take advantage of and oppress the poor, and God only knows what else, and yet still are considered “born-again Christians” by the gullible and simple minded in the ranks of “Christianity.” God have mercy! Have those who claim to be God’s people totally lost their sense of spiritual discernment? Or is it that those who claim to be God’s people just don’t care anymore? Which is it?
Is this an unjust accusation? Not hardly!
A Call to Separation
Folks, the Scriptures still say,
“Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaventh the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us,” 1 Corinthians 5:6-7.
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?.......Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty,” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
“For I am jealous over you with Godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ,” 2 Corinthians 11:2.
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them,” Ephesians 5:11.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish,” Ephesians 5:25-27.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him,” 1 John 2:15.
Folks, we who are “true believers” can live as true believers should live. We can separate ourselves from the world, abstain from fleshly lusts [1 Peter 2:11], and present our bodies as “living sacrifices” to Christ [Romans 12:1-2].
Or…..we can yield ourselves to the flesh [Romans 6:16], join the apostasy [2 Thessalonians 2:3], compromise and fellowship with unbelieving “religionists,” and become a part of putrid Laodiceanism [Revelation 3:15-16].
The choice is ours! Choose carefully!
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure,” 1 John 3:2-3.
May God grant His grace to every reader is our prayer.
