"Just as Jesus said 2000 years ago, there were those who substituted ... (Addendum)"

Addendum:

Just as Jesus said 2000 years ago, there were those
who substituted their own teachings in place of God's
... as it is still today.

When Henry Morris wrote in his article contrasting
Judaism with Christianity, I believe he assumed we
would understand 'Judaism' as it was in the main, 200o
years ago ... and still is mainly today ... 'partly
hardened/blinded Judaism' ... and not those true Jews
like Anna then ... or up to a 1,000,000 today (as
reported by the still partly-blinded Jews for Judaism
some years ago).  All true Jews have always, and still
do ... live all-out (ever more and more) ... for
Messiah.  (May our hearts be so blessed ... shalom
shalom!)

Now Jesus said he came to the lost sheep of the house
of Israel.

Matthew 15:24  But he answered and said, I am not sent
but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

So, if we would get 'right' with God, as Abraham or
David,

Romans 4:
3  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God,
and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned
of grace, but of debt.
5  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him
that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for
righteousness.
6  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of
the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without
works,
7  Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8  Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute
sin.

9  Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision
only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that
faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10  How was it then reckoned? when he was in
circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in
circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11  And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal
of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet
being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of
all them that believe, though they be not circumcised;
that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12  And the father of circumcision to them who are not
of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the
steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he
had being yet uncircumcised.
13  For the promise, that he should be the heir of the
world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the
law, but through the righteousness of faith.

... and if we would be like those first disciples who
were called 'Christ like' in Antioch, we MUST first
'hear Him'!  Please let's recall what Jesus said: that
His sheep would hear Him ... and that the reason some
couldn't 'hear Him' was that they were not His sheep.

Now praise the Lord, the simple defining thing about
sheep, is that even though they may often go astray,
when they hear their shepherd's voice ... they WILL
follow HIM.

And that is, I believe, His recommendation to all ...
(including myself) ...
... that we more and more seek HIM, and follow His
voice ... as we search His Word in love and obedience
to our blessed Saviour.

One of the most wonderful things we might experience
is that HE IS NOW STILL THE FAITHFUL FRIEND of all
sinners/(confused and lost sheep) who would come to
Him.

Doesn't His Holy Word show that in the last days ...
we sheep have put the true Jesus out side our
fellowships ... so that He is now outside ... from
where He is knocking on the doors of many hearts ...
so that if only we will HEAR HIM, ... and then open up
... to HIM ... He WILL 'come in'.

Revelation 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and
knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with me.

It is time to stop following mere men and women ... It
is time to 'know the Lord.'

Now if you have never heard His Voice, or if you have
gone astray from His Voice, here is a most marvellous
promise from Him (especially for these 'end' days):

Jeremiah 29:
11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to
give you an expected end.
12  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and
pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall
search for me with all your heart.
14  And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I
will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you
from all the nations, and from all the places whither
I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring
you again into the place whence I caused you to be
carried away captive.

and also ...

Psalm 145:
17  The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in
all his works.
18  The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.
19  He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him:
he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

20  The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but
all the wicked will he destroy.

It could be as simple as this:  If we will let Jesus,
in truth, be our King, and so to 'follow Him ... then
we need have NO fear that we are His true Jews.

Dear Lord Jesus,

You are King!

Please rise up in Your great mercy and power and
capture our wayward hearts to love and trust You.  You
know we are sheep that so often go astray ... but YOU
ARE THAT GREAT SHEPHERD.  So we cry out to YOU in the
night ... Please don't leave us in the dark.  Yes
Lord, come near so that we might, by Your faithful
grace and tender mercy walk ever more and more in Your
Glorious Light, Your Truth and Word.  Amen.
