Gay Churchman Says God Called Him To Be A Bishop

"Gene Robinson, the first openly homosexual bishop in the Anglican church, claimed yesterday that he had been "called by God" to become a gay bishop." (It sounds like a lie to me.)

"Bishop Robinson's comments, which were made during a controversial visit to Britain, were dismissed as "spiritually dangerous" by a leading evangelical organisation."

"Later, he told the congregation that God had also "pursued" him to become a bishop, flying in the face of the traditional Anglican doctrine that does not allow the ordination of practising homosexuals."

"About 10 or 12 years ago, God began to pursue me about the episcopate," he said. "I've often compared it to a little yapping dog biting at your heels. He wouldn't leave me alone. It seemed that God wanted me to be in this process." (It sounds like Satan's hounds of Hell pursued him.)
