"By an overwhelming margin, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a private property protection act on Thursday - a direct response to the recent Supreme Court ruling involving homeowners in New London, Conn.  Similar legislation is pending in the Senate."

House-Passed Property Rights Bill Wins Cautious Praise
 
 "U.S. House passage of a bill to bypass a Supreme Court decision on the issue of property rights is a "step back in the right direction," according to the Libertarian Party of Connecticut. The bill, which was approved 376 to 38, would make any government using eminent domain to seize private property for commercial use ineligible for federal funding for up to two fiscal years."
