John:I especially object to the harsh criticism that was made by Texe Marrs
of Jack Hay ford and Jerry Falwell in his article. He stated that Jack
Hayford was doing a dance for God, at God's request, and it was just as
the tribal witch doctors did. I don't know if Jack made the latter
statement or Texe Marrs included that on his own. However, there is
nothing wrong about dancing for God. Even King David did that to honor
God!Texe Marrs called Jerry Falwell a pretender, but Jerry Falwell is
certainly not a pretender! Many of those who attended the ceremony for
Sun Myung Moon were taken by surprise by what took place, and more than
likely, would not have been there had they known in advance what would
take place. Jerry Falwell is a very outspoken defender of the faith,
and certainly does not deserve this criticism!Proverbs 6: 16-19 describes the six things that God hates, and seven
that are detestable to Him. Included among these are: a false witness
who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissention among brothers. Both Jack Hayford and Jerry Falwell are brothers in the faith, and Texe
Marrs should be more careful about his criticism.Wes K.
