THERE WILL NOT BE, AND COULD NEVER BE, A TEMPLE BUILT PRYOR to the Lord building the Millennial Temple Himself! This would go against God's nature concerning the redemptive work of His Son on the Cross to allow His people- the Nation of Israel to go backwards in God's redemptive plan of Salvation and to go back again to the "shedding of blood of Bulls and Goats for the covering of sin!For God to do so would in effect be telling His people- The work of My Son on the Cross is NOT SUFFICIENT FOR YOU! AND when Jesus cried from the Cross; "IT IS FINISHED" does not apply to you!
......"Then what is the Temple of God in I Thesslonians 2:4 that the son of perdition sitteth in and declares himself to be god during the Tribulation period, if it is not a Tribulation Temple?"
THERE IS another Temple of God in which the antichrist CAN STAND IN THE MIDST (among) and declare himself as god!
It is the Believer, of whom God Himself said, "YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD!"
Check it out:
> 1 Corinth. 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
> 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
> 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
> 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
> 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
> 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
> 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.Notice that this "temple of God" is directly referred to after the example of the "Beama Seat of Christ" and how our works are to be tried! But, there is NO WAY a truly born again believer can DEFILE the Temple of God unto their own destruction!....for, "he himself shall be saved!"
SO WHO is God going to destroy?...the "antichrist" will be destroyed along with the False prophet who has the outward appearance of a Christian (two horns of a lamb) but actually is not born of the Spirit at all (speaks as a DRAGON- SATAN). The antichrist is the one who will defile the temple of God in trying to destroy the temple of God - BELIEVERS!!!! And then God will destroy him for trying.
LOOK> 2nd Corinth.7:15, "And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
> 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
> 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
> 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Now carefully compare 2nd Corinth. 7:17 (above) with Rev. 18:4: "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. We Believers, born of the Spirit, are the Temple of the Living God!
Now look at Rev.11:1 "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
> 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.OK, how was John to MEASURE "THEM THAT WORSHIP
THEREIN"? How do you measure the worshippers of God?
YOU CAN'T!!! Which is WHY John is NOT ABLE to give any measurements for this so called "Tribulation Temple"?! Because The Temple of God is that of the Christians THEMSELVES ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!! The Temple is not measurable!! And take notice that "the court that is WITHOUT THE TEMPLE is given to the Gentiles to trample. There are no true Believers there - "without the temple."There were measurements given for the First and Second Temples. There are measuresments given for the Millennial Temple! But there are NO MEASUREMENTS given for the "Tribulation Temple" because you can't "measure" (it doesn't say "count") the number of Believers in the world, which individually make up the Temple of God !
So now, WHAT is an "abomination that makes desolate"?
An "abomination" is "excessive hatred", defilement, impurity.
And to make "desolate" is to "lay waste - overwhelm with sorrow - deprive - make miserable - destroy." It causes something to be "unusable." "So is it so hard to see that (as God stated), WE are the temple of the Living God....and that the antichrist will have such excessive hatred of God and toward Believers ("the temple of God") that he will go after them, will cause misery & sorrow and will try to defile and destroy it.....and render "the temple" UNUSABLE....and that in the end, God (as He Himself stated) will destroy him (the antichrist) !?!?
What makes us so absolutely sure there will be literal tribulation temple building (which goes against the very nature of God because it would cause His people to go backwards in His redemptive Plan of Salvation) and that the antichrist must perform some obscure "single act of abomination" (such as "placing a pig's head in the temple"?) instead of giving up our preconceived ideas and simply believing God's Word as He states it: We are the temple of the living God and God will destroy the one who defiles His temple, which is the antichrist.
Yes, I, too, had always been taught there would be a literal tribulation temple and that the antichrist would commit some act which defiled it. But God seems to have given Phil Rogers the knowledge, insight, and wisdom to understand something that we have misunderstood for so long. And just WHY is this understanding so important? I believe we have been on the wrong track - looking for something which is not going to happen the way we assumed it would. With this new understanding we won't be misled by the events that are coming (or which don't materialize). We won't be looking for something that isn't going to happen (in the way we expected.) And with this new understanding I think we will gain a deeper sense of trust in the Lord's Plan of Redemption and the way it will all be played out.
I thank God for giving me the chance to set aside MY ideas and being open to His. I thank God for the teaching that is coming to me through Phil. Because of it, I have found that even though it seems things aren't going to be the way I'd always thought they'd be, I have acquired real peace concerning what is coming. And, yes, I look forward to the rapture just the same - but I know now that no matter when it happens, we can have the peace that passeth all understanding in knowing we will soon be with Him for all eternity.
