"Reply to Donna Danna Re: the Sanhedrin"

Donna asked, "Why would the new Sanhedrin that is being formed in Tiberias have to anoint Jesus as King at His Second Coming since He already is the King of Kings according to Rev. 19:16, and on His head is many crowns according to Rev. 19:12?"

For Believers (Jew & Gentile) He already IS the King of Kings, but for the NATION of Israel that is not yet the case.   The answer is that God is not finished with the Jews; which has been absolutely proven by the fact they are once again a NATION back in the Land God gave them.  It was also shown in their "coming of age"  which resulted in the reunification of Jerusalem.  And it is also being shown by the reformation of the Sanhedrin, which will fulfill the prophecy that they will anoint Him King of Israel.

If you have to ask why is it necessary for them (instead of God the Father) to anoint Him at His Coronation, then you must also ask why is it necessary for Israel to be back in the land....why is it necessary to have Jerusalem reunified....or even, why will it be necessary to rebuild the Millennial Temple?
The answer is because the King of Israel will rule over all the earth!  The nation of Israel will be the head of all nations.  There will be a Temple (for a memorial) and there will be a government, and there will be leaders of each tribe and every nation shall be represented before Him in Israel and the One reigning will be The King.  It's "protocol."  It's diplomacy.  The Coronation of The King by the believing leaders of the Nation of Israel, the Sanhedrin, will be a statement of acknowledgment and willingness and acceptance of  His Sovereignty, of His royal, supreme power and dominion as their Messiah!  There will be a grand public ceremony of the crowning of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Messiah of Israel.

Yes, Donna, "God the Father could anoint His Son with oil if His head needs to be anointed with oil when He sets up His Kingdom on earth."....but all of the preparations that have set the stage for the coming of the Messiah of Israel and every event that will be performed, executed, and carried out as promised, foretold, and anticipated in God's Plan for His people Israel, will find their fulfillment in the Coronation of Yeshua HaMashiach by the Jewish leaders, the Sanhedrin - those "who will see Him the second time and say, Baruch Haba BaShem Adonai, "Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord!" - JUST AS HE SAID THEY WOULD SAY!

And no, I don't believe the new Sanhedrin will anoint or crown the antichrist as the false messiah when "he seats himself in the temple."   In fact, I don't believe there will even be a so-called "Tribulation Temple."  Why?  Because the Lord did not have the Temple DESTROYED FOR NOTHING!  One of the main reasons was to keep His people from continuing in that sacrificial system for the covering of their sins and to be able to LOOK BACK AT WHAT THEY HAD LOST and realize that JESUS was and IS THAT FINAL SACRIFICE!  God is not going to negate the FINALITY of the Cross for His chosen people, especially at this time. To do so, God should have just as well left the Temple intact all these 2,000 years!  For God to permit another Temple to be built (before the Millennial Temple) would in effect be saying to His people (and Gentiles as well) that the death of His Son was not sufficient for the forgiveness of their sins, and go ahead and begin shedding the blood of bulls and goats again!  But God has never gone back or allowed His people to go back from His redemptive plan of salvation.  It was God who had the Romans destroy the Temple so that there would never again be the opportunity to look to the shedding of blood of bulls and goats.  Christ said on the Cross, "It is finished!"  Jesus Christ paid the price once for all!

Our assumption that there will be a Tribulation Temple built for the antichrist doesn‘t mean it is in "God’s Plan," especially in view of the recent  Israeli Court ruling that they would NOT allow a "ban" on the building of a mosque on the Temple Mount.   Remember, most prophecy teachers believe and teach that there will be a "Tribulation Temple" and that animal sacrifices will be re-instituted so that the antichrist can stop them 3 ½ years after the "rapture."  If a mosque is built on the Temple Mount in the near future - possibly as part of a negotiated peace agreement in relation to a Palestinian State - where then would the Temple be built?  Would the Jews allow a Temple to be built next to a mosque?

Anyway, that is yet another topic.  Phil Rogers will be posting on this and other topics, and they stand upon Scripture alone; but all of the topics are interlocked, giving  understanding and wisdom for the bigger picture.   If you have always looked at things one way - the way you’ve always been taught or assumed it would happen, I encourage you to study what will be presented with an open and willing heart and mind to receive the truth - even if it isn’t the way we thought it should be.
