WASHINGTON - As U.S. troops battle insurgents in Fallujah, President Bush (news - web sites) is paying his annual Veterans Day tribute to the armed forces.

He's also meeting with his closest Iraq (news - web sites) War ally, Britain's Tony Blair (news - web sites). The British leader is arriving late today to begin two days of talks that also are expected to focus on Afghanistan (news - web sites) and Mideast peace efforts.

Bush's day begins with a private White House reception for veterans. That's followed by the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns, and remarks at the memorial amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery.

Spokesman Scott McClellan says Bush is looking forward to honoring all those who've served.
