"Church or Jesus?"

Dear Dianne and all the Doves,
I don't mean to hammer this issue of baptism to death. The thief did not have time to be baptized, but Jesus said to him, "Today you will be Me in paradise".  (Luke 23:43).

I forgot to make a point in my previous post on this issue of infant baptism versus baptism upon repentance and faith toward Christ.

When I was baptised the first two times, I was baptised into a church, or religion. The last time I was baptised, I was baptised into Christ Himself.

"The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,)  by the resurrection of Christ."  1 Peter. 3:21

When I was brought into covenant with Yeshua, I wanted to be obedient to Him in all things. I understood that to do that, I must follow His example.I made this public witness to His calling me in front of many witnesses as the answer of a good conscience toward God.

  Please prayerfully consider these verses.

"But whosoever shall deny me before men,him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."  Mt. 10:33

"I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh; for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness."  Rom. 6:19

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized in his death?     Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Rom.6:3-4

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which  I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.    I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by law, then Christ is dead in vain."  Gal. 2:20-21

If we truly are surrendered to Yeshua in all areas of our life, we will not care if we go through baptism as an answer to  a good conscience toward God surrendering themselves completely to be a vessel of honor for the Master's use.
