DAVID'S COMMENT: THE PRESSURE IS BACK ON - TIME TO INCREASE PRAYER
Ezekiel 37:11 And He said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried and our hope is lost; we ourselves are cut off. ( Many Israelis are feeling this way at this time )
Jeremiah 30:17 For I will give health back to you, and will heal you of your wounds, says Jehovah; because they called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion; no one is seeking for her. ( Most of the world would prefer Israel not to exist)World changng events continue to unfold right before our eyes. And Israel occupies centre stage. Not only are the Islamic terror groups intent on Israel's removal, several months ago a UN official suggested that the solution to the present and future problems in the Middle East is the removal of the 5.5 million Jews and the end of the nation of Israel. Sounds like ethnic cleansing to me and sounds very similar to what the Romans did in 70 AD. The EU leaders make not secret of their alliance with the oil rich Arab nations, and their unbalance bias against Israel. Sadly it is not only the Muslims, the UN, and EU that opposes Israel. Sadly, the Presbyterian and Epsicopalian churches are in the process of divesting themselves from anything to do with Israel amd to bycott any companies that do business with Israel. Interestingly, that is how the Nazi persecution of the German Jews began 70 years ago.
As if the above anti Israel / anti Christ coalition is not enough, just 10 days after President Bush's re-election and within just a few hours of Arafat's funeral, UK PM Tony Blair arrived in the USA to meet with GWB. One of the major points of the Bush / Blair discussions, was the Israel / Palestinian conflict. With the departure of Arafat from the scene, the secular world sees a fresh hope for peace between the two sides. In the USA public opinion was heavily against the way President Bush has handled both the Iraq and Israel issues. But in the UK public opinion is much more heavily against the way Tony Blair involved the UK in Iraq. Blair is in deep trouble politically and is desparate to improve his standing with the electorate. He sees the Israel / Palestinian issue as his ticket out of trouble - at Israel's expense. Right from the beginning of the Iraq war Blair has often stated that " the road to Iraq is through Jerusalem.There is some truth to that statement. Much of the contention between the Muslim world & the Western world stems from the existence of Israel on land that had been taken for Allah. Most people dont realise that Islam is a land grabbing religion whose ultimate goal is the taking the whole world for Allah. Once you take land for Allah, you can't give it back. That is the main reason why Islam willl never acknowledge Israel's right to exist. That is why the map of " Palestine " on Arafat's uniform has no Israel at all. That is why the PA school text books do not mention Israel at all. The PLO, Hizbollah, Islamich Jihad and all of the others have publically stated that their aim is the total removal of the "Zionist entity" from the Middle East.
Everyone is coming against Israel, even some who claim to be our friend. They are all pressuriing Israel to give in to the demand of the terrorists. To give back land. To get out of Gaza and the mis-named West Bank. All of the disputed territories belong to the Jews. The so called Palestinians are welcome to live in it with us in peace as do 99% of the 1 million Israeli Arabs. That is the only plan for the Middle East that can come to pass because that is God's plan and the return of MessiahYeshua is dependent upon ALL of the Jews comimg back to live in ALL of the land that Jehovah promised to Arabram.
Therefore it is incumbent on the true church of the God & Messiah / King of Israel to align our prayer and intercession wth His Word. As the pressure on Israel increases from every quarter, we need to increase our prayer pressure accordingly - MORE SO even ! Lets find the verses that apply and pray them back to Jehovah in Yehsua's name. Lets not faint or get weary or forget that fervent prayer avails much.
