yesterday I did find in the net this report about the funeral ceremony in Cairo

at the German “Der Spiegel” – website…..

saying that the European officials have been too late....!!!

This was really amazing. I liked to find reports at English sites. But I could not find.

So I copied the German and put it into a translation program and here I like to put it below.

However perhaps some parts may be not exact English … sorry, but the point I like to

bring across….:

Arafat funeral service

Joschka Fischer like an annoying demonstrator treats

So Secretary of State Joschka Fisher was never greeted abroad: He had first to turn turning loops like numerous other guests of honour in the airplane. They were then jostling and pushing. The Europeans missed the funeral service for Jassir Arafat at the end.

Cairo -- according to information from western diplomats could no single European guest take part at the airport in Cairo in the central funeral service because guests from Islamic countries of the organizers were apparently let in preferentially.

At first many airplanes couldn't land, among this also that one of the German Secretary of State, because the crowd was too big at the airport. Fisher and its delegation had to wait in the machine …..another three quarters of an hour.

When they finally arrived at the place of the ceremony, the security officers just closed the gate. They shouted "it is past (it is over)!" to the Germans.

Before the gate of the armed forces airport there was a complete chaos at times. The arrived guests of honour were shoved around by the Egyptian security officers like annoying demonstrators. (The bodyguards of the different European delegations delivered……… scrappings to themselves with the security officers……… chaos……..)

After at the scheduled beginning of the ceremony many guests were still absent, a second ceremony was organized quickly, also nearby Cairo airport. However even to this one they could not get in time…...

Fisher remained nevertheless calm……... After two hours on the Egyptian ground he flew back to Berlin…..

pondering this….. Cairo  -  “cairos”      ….”cairos”, the Greek word for “time”…

however I liked to find more, I was not quite sure about the exact meaning and

therefore I chequed again in the web….

“time” in Greek: “chronos” = time …. “cairos” = God’s time….

(it seem to be very interesting where in the bible the word “time” goes back to “cairos”)

When I tried to find in the net some more about “cairos” I just found this beautiful,

sorry, this is a very long article… and in one part there is mentioned “cairos” and “time”…

however… most amazed me that in this article is also mentioned …. “Arafat” …..

well, I think it is a beautiful article and worthy to be read….
