While reading this article about giant hail the size of a cricketball killing these people in the Himalayas in the 9th century, it brought to mind Rev. 16:21 "And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven , every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail: for the plague thereof was exceeding great."

This article called BibleWeights, Measure & Monetary System http://www.spiritrestoration.org/Church/Research%20History%20and%20Great%20Links/Biblical%20Weights%20Measure%20and%20Monetary%20System.htm says that the talent in Rev. 16:21 weighs about 100 lbs.  So can you imagine the unprofitable servant in Matthew 25:24 going to all the trouble of hiding his talent in the earth.
