Hi Dianne,You stated the following in your 11/16 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/nov2004/diannet1116.htm
"Now, my own parents accepted Yeshua as the Son of YHVH and their only way to
YHVH. They were baptized as babies into the Blood Covenant. They entered me
into the Blood Covenant through baptism when I was a baby. UNLESS I
SPECIFICALLY renounce the Blood Covenant I was entered into it, I'm "in" for
the duration of my life here on earth! BLESSINGS are what I loose out on
those times I live without respect for that Blood Covenant but not heirship.
Blessing-voids can be quickly filled with misery! but not a curse because the
curse has already been dealt with by Yeshua.""When our children were born, we entered them into the Blood Covenant through
baptism. They too are "in" for the duration UNLESS they specifically reject
the Blood Covenant made - for ALL of us - by Yeshua."(Dianne, I was baptized with my mother and older sister when I was around 4 years old. However, there isn't any Bible scripture that I know of that says babies should be baptized, and they certainly aren't old enough to understand and believe. In the Bible, only believers were baptized and not babies, and believers were baptized only by immersion up until 250 A.D. According to Mark 16:16 Jesus said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Of course, the Lord allowed the one repentant thief who hung on a cross beside him into paradise without being baptized, but I decided to be obedient to the Lord and was baptized by immersion much later on in life. If you read this article called The Church During The Dark Ages Part II - Lesson 5 at http://home.att.net/~jackthompson/page178.htm it shows that infant baptism didn't become into being in the church until 250 A.D. which means babies weren't baptized before then. It also shows that the first baptism by sprinkling or pouring of water over a candidate took place in 251 A.D. Everyone before that date was baptized by immersion.)
