In Sherry Vance's 11/11 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/nov2004/sherry1111-1.htm she stated the following:
"And no, I don't believe the new Sanhedrin will anoint or crown the antichrist as the false messiah when "he seats himself in the temple." In fact, I don't believe there will even be a so-called "Tribulation Temple." Why? Because the Lord did not have the Temple DESTROYED FOR NOTHING! One of the main reasons was to keep His people from continuing in that sacrificial system for the covering of their sins and to be able to LOOK BACK AT WHAT THEY HAD LOST and realize that JESUS was and IS THAT FINAL SACRIFICE! God is not going to negate the FINALITY of the Cross for His chosen people, especially at this time. To do so, God should have just as well left the Temple intact all these 2,000 years! For God to permit another Temple to be built (before the Millennial Temple) would in effect be saying to His people (and Gentiles as well) that the death of His Son was not sufficient for the forgiveness of their sins, and go ahead and begin shedding the blood of bulls and goats again! But God has never gone back or allowed His people to go back from His redemptive plan of salvation. It was God who had the Romans destroy the Temple so that there would never again be the opportunity to look to the shedding of blood of bulls and goats. Christ said on the Cross, "It is finished!" Jesus Christ paid the price once for all!"So my one question would be if you don't believe there will even be a so-called Tribulation Temple, then what is the Temple of God in 1 Thessalonians 2:4 that the Son of Perdition sitteth in and declares himself to be God during the Tribulation period, if it is not a Tribulation Temple because it certainly is not the Millenium Temple since the beast and the false prophet will be in the lake of fire when Christ reigns during the Millenium on Earth?
