For many years Bible scholars have been debating the meaning of the
"mystery" as we see in I Corinthinans 15:51 and the "falling away" as we see
in II Thess. 2:1-3. Most scholars agree that the "fallng away" translation
in the KJV should really be "the departure"; i.e., the "rapture of the
church". I also agree with this interpretation. The purpose of this letter
is to demonstrate some important mathematical links between "mystery" and
the "falling away"."Mystery" is "Musterion" in Greek (See Strong's #3466). The numerical value
of this word is 1178 by addition and 26,880 by multiplication (dropping 11
zeros)Also, "the departure" is "he apostasia" in Greek (See Strong's #646). The
numberical value of this word is 876 by addition and 26,880 by
multiplication (dropping 9 zeros). Thanks to Bonnie Gaunt, the following words have these numberical values:
Power (Greek) = 1500
Power (Hebrew) = 37
Light (Greek) = 1500
Jehovah (Hebrew) = 1500
God (Hebrew) = 15
Truth (Greek) = 64Also, Bullinger tells us that Number 7 illustrates "spiritual perfection"
and Number 6 illustrates "Weakness of man" and Number 4 illustrates
"creation/world" and Number 8 illustrates "New Beginnings" in scripture. What is really interesting is that the Numbers 15, 64, 7, 6, 4, and 8 all
divide 26,880 evenly. This tells me that the "weakness of men" in this
"creation/world" who have been "spiritually perfected" in Christ will
experience "new beginnings" at the time of "the departure" by experiencing
the "power" and "light" of "Jehovah" "God". This is truly a "mystery" of
God's almighty power.Notice that 37 x 100 = 3700. Divide 3700 by 1178 = 3.141 (Pi). Also, 876 +
1178 = 2054. 2368 "Jesus Christ" minus 2054 = 314 (Pi). As we all know,
"Pi" is the "relationship" between the "diameter" of the circle and the
"circumference". The scripture tells us that "it is He (The Lord Jesus
Christ) who sitteth upon the circle of the earth".Thus, we see strong mathematical relationships between the "mystery" and
"the departure". This should help cement forever that II Thess. 2:3 "the
falling away" should really be "the departure" of the church at the rapture.
