Susan, I believe you are about to be prepared for the rapture with small and maybe even big signs.   I believe this dream was to warn you that other people who are not living right won't be getting the same signs as you and possibly you may not want to cast your pearls before swine.   I think this dream was to prepare you for possibly things to come so you won't be scared.  

And I believe the angel was saying that many people who are not saved want a sign from God, but they really don't want to change their ways of living, they really do not want Jesus, they only use God as a "santa claus" in the sky to grant their wishes, and they really do not deserve to get a loving sign from Him that would denote an intimate relationship.   I think also you were being prepared that you may be getting signs and they won't be your imagination, they won't be someone playing a trick on you, so that you won't hurt the Lord's feelings when He gives you a sign.

Be Prepared for the arrival of the Bridegroom!   The Angels will start getting you ready.
