"RE:  Susan B--your post, "Jim - re NWO Elitist""

Hello, John and Doves,

Susan B., you wrote,

Here are some heartening scriptures concerning the almighty and sovereign God we serve.

"Remember the former things of old, For I [am] God, and [there is] no other; [I am] God, and [there is] none like Me,

"Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times [things] that are not [yet] done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

"Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken [it]; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed [it]; I will also do it."

                                                                                                                                Isaiah 46:9-11

"A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God [is] good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart.

"But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped.

"For I [was] envious of the boastful, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked....

"Until I went into the sanctuary of God; [Then] I understood their end.

"Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.

"Oh, how they are [brought] to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

"As a dream when [one] awakes, [So], Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image."

                                                                                                                                Psalm 73:1-3, Psalm 73:17-20.

Btw, 1973 was the year of Zvika Greengold http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greengold.

For a discussion of Psalm 73 to Psalm 89, please read Pastor F.M. Riley's post on Five Doves,

There are many, many more passages that God has tucked here and there in His precious Word.

Do you want to cheer yourself up?  Look up, "be of good cheer," in the Blue Letter Bible.

Jesus says,

" 'These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.' "  John 16:33
