Dear John and Doves,As part of my daily devotion, I search for and select a passage of scripture as the Spirit leads me, to make intercessory prayer for and send to several people that have challenges in their life. One recent occasion I chose this:1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (New Living Translation)Always be joyful. Never stop praying.Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for youwho belong to Christ Jesus.Later that day, the Spirit lead me to write an imagined conversation with God concerning this verse on my Facebook page. It reads as follows:God: Always be joyful.
Me: I don't see You, but I see disappointment all around me.
God: I know, but I will not allow you to see My Big Plan.
God: It's too overwhelming for you, but know this: you are part of My Plan. And, never stop praying.
Me: Are all my prayers getting up there?
God: Yes. They ascend before my throne, and all of Heaven hear them. We all know your character, because of your prayers.
Me: I'll try harder now to be joyful!
Now, let me encourage all responders on Five Doves to keep hope alive, knowing that God holds the Final Victory over all His enemies, which by relationship, are all our enemies as well.
