I Dove Dee,
You said:
"I was still in my pajamas and I was having to bring my kids with me to the job and I was always coming in late."
You know your dream made me think about Lot's wife, she looked back at the world and got "left behind". Maybe your looking to get dressed for work is showing you how much time is wasted when not prepared, and also to show you to not care for the things of this world as time is so short
It doesn't matter what you put on Jesus sees you as you are. The important thing here is to not look back at the world you will soon leave behind.
If you have the time I'm sending you this article I read: http://www.theshoreccf.com/messages/1%20Corinthians%20chapter%207%20part%204.pdf It is really good.
18 minutes?
"The number 18 has a special significance in Jewish culture because it is written with the same letters that spell the word "life", using a number notation similar to A=1, B=2, etc." ( http://www.angelfire.com/my/elliott83/BiblePi.html). Now I am not savvy in terms of numbers but a quick look up on the net taught me that the Number 18 is representative of the word "Life", using a number notation similar to A=1, B=2, etc. (Do a web search for "Gematria" if you are interested.) Then 28 can be taken to be 10 + 18. http://www.angelfire.com/my/elliott83/BiblePi.html
Putting the two together, your looking for clothes to wear and #18, could mean that, to Our Lord, the outward appearance is of no importance compared to the inward you. The cares of this world could rob a person of eternal "life" with Jesus.
Throughout the post you seem very anxious about what to do next, pray, fast...etc, then you are also worried about a rite (baptism). You keep asking what should I do.
This is what He says to do:
Matthew 11: (Hmmm...another 11!) 28 (here is another 28 - 10+8) -30
28Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.
Wasn't sure of the number 30 that came up here so I looked up some info on the net and here is what I found:
The Meaning of Faith from Hebrews 11:30
Hebrews 11:30
"By Faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days." - Hebrews 11:30
There is no denying that the Bible teaches us that we are saved by faith. The apostle Paul wrote: "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). Paul could also write, as he did in Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." So we recognize that it is by faith that we must live in order to receive the eternal life that God has promised to those who have been faithful to Him. (See also: Hebrews 11:6; Revelation 2:10) Many cannot understand how there would be anything for us to do (apart from believing) if salvation is by faith. But the faith that Paul is speaking of is not just a belief in Christ. It is a trust in God that moves us to obey Him. That was the point that the Hebrew writer was making about faith... At Jericho, the walls fell by faith AFTER they were encircled for seven days. When did faith avail for Joshua? When did his faith give him the victory? It was AFTER he obeyed the Lord! We are saved by our faith, but when? Is it the moment we believe, and before our faith causes us to obey God's commands?...Article continues here : http://www.bible.ca/ef/expository-hebrews-11-30.htmSo Dee, I am not sure if the Lord allowed me to see your post because you needed an answer or if it was me who needed it, because I felt the urge to answer you but wasn't sure why. Now I know, it is a lesson for us all. "Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." See, I am a "fretter" (not sure if it is a word, but I fret a lot..LOL), Jesus tells us to rest in Him, to be anxious for nothing, to always give thanks and to pray without ceasing. Because of our faith in Him we have life eternal given to us a gift directly from Our Father in Heaven, we have little time left in this world and we should spend it by praying for our day as soon as we get up. Dedicate the day to Our Lord and it will be well spent. Be assured of His promise, He doesn't lie. And be of comfort one to another by reminding each other that time is short, soon, and very soon, we are going to see the King!
HALLELUJAH!!!!
(believe me I just wrote all of this not just to you, Sister, but to myself as well, lately I have been very anxious, sad, and ready to go home) Our Lord is so, so good to us, isn't He?? (I also hope that what I just posted makes sense to you all?/)
