I have an almost opposite sort of thing happen but for a good reason. (I am still a musician and play regularly at shows mostly for older folks at retirement communities and senior centers and some resorts and yacht clubs and country clubs. We play a lot of standards from the 40's and 50's and ballroom dance type stuff. But also some other places where we do more country music and some classic rock like Proud Mary etc.) Well, one night recently, I was doing my usual setting up of the PA system and it occurred to me that if something were to happen to me, no one else would know how to set up the system the way I do and even if they found a guitarist / vocalist to take my place, Linda, my fiancee who sings with the band, would not know how to set up the PA the way I do to get the great sound that we are known for. I thought about teaching her what it is I do so that if something were to happen to me and I was not able to do a gig, she would know how to set everything up. I have taught her some parts of it and she is very helpful in the parts that she knows but there is much that she doesn't know and I was thinking, this one night as I was doing it, that I should maybe begin teaching this to her... But as I was thinking about this and seriously considering that I ought to be teaching this to Linda, I heard God say to me, "Don't worry, you will not be taken away without Linda or be absent from any gig between now and the end..." In other words, the rapture is so near and I will not be injured or sick or in any way absent to where Linda would need to know this stuff from now until then and for sure, she is going with when it happens so she doesn't need to learn how to do it, etc. I was so encouraged when He said this, that I immediately told Linda about it and we rejoiced as we set up for that show.
 
Wanted to share that when I read Kelly's post. I know there are some differing opinions as to exactly how soon we can expect to go now. Well this sort of thing tells me that it is very close and there is this very practical reality to the nearness that has long been more fuzzy. Come Lord Jesus!
