"Lou's post on 5/22/09"

I loved this information!! It led me to a discovery, and I have been dying to share it here. I've posted the original article with my thoughts in red. Of course, all this rests on the accuracy of the original article, and as I'm not Jewish I wouldn't know. The most amazing thing for me was the "that every knee shall bow and every tongue should swear to the glory of God." part. That happens right after the rapture and right before the judment begins with the opening of the first seal. I've been searching for a way to discredit that statement but have found none. Perhaps someone would like to burst my euphoric bubble with a contradiction?

Dearest Friends and Mishpochah,

Did you know our Messiah Yeshua IS the Fulfillment of SHAVUOT !

We are getting ready to celebrate Shavuot (Pentecost). It is one of my favorite and most significant events in the Word. Here is an outline of Shavuot and how it relates to our Messiah.

Facts and thoughts about Shavuot

Leviticus 23:15-16
David was born on the 6th of Sivan and died on the same day.
Messiah is seen as a type of King David.

Sivan 6, 2009 is May 29

Hanokh (Enoch) was born on the 6th of Sivan and was taken into heaven on the 6th of Sivan at the age of 365. He was taken up to ADONAI by the Ruach HaKodesh - Genesis 5:24 - Hanokh is seen by many as a type of the Church because he was a Gentile.  He wasn't a child of Avraham or a Hebrew and there were no "Jews" at this time.

So Enoch was raptured on Shavuot? That's pretty significant! Elijah was also taken up in a whirlwind and fire – 2 Kings 2:11. Sounds a lot llike Acts 2:2-3! I cannot find a record of what date Elijah was taken, but it seems that everyone knew when his day had come. Perhaps because this was also the day Enoch was taken? (pure speculation)

Orthodox Jews study all night on Shavuot. The reason for this is because they as well as some of the Jewish Sages believe the Messiah will come at midnight on this feast and rent the heavens and come down. "The Messiah will come down from the Olam HaBa at midnight on Shavuot."

Jesus comes with clouds, and doesn't touch the earth – but He remmains in the air and takes His people up with Him. Also this reference to midnight is just too much! The groom of the parable of 10 virgins in Matthew 25 has the cry “the bridegroom is coming! being heard at midnight. Also, we are told not to sleep as others do. Perhaps we should be sure to stay up all night on Shavuot like the Jews.

Traditional Jewish thought about Shavuot

The Sages teach that on Shavuot, "that every knee shall bow and every tongue should swear to the glory of God."  - Isaiah 45:23-25

Revelation 5:13 – And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!

How awesome that right after the rapture, when the Lamb is about to open the scroll, the bride, elders, angels and animals are gathered around the Lamb and the throne of God, speaking this in unison with every creature on and under the earth! The timing couldn't be more perfect! Jewish days begin at sundown the previous day, so if we're raptured shortly after midnight (Jewish time) that would leave plenty of time for the rest of this to go down on the very day of Shavuot!

Rav Sha'ul repeats this in the B'rit Chadeshah - Romans 14:11
"On this day, the light of Creation which HaShem had hidden only for the use of the tzaddikim (the righteous) was now brought out for the benefit of all humanity, to vanquish the yetzer hara (the evil nature in mankind)."

The Sages also teach that on this day "the present (Olam Hazeh- this world) and the hereafter (Olam HaBa- the world to come) are joined together in perfect harmony and unity."  - Exodus 19:16-20

Old Testament History of Shavuot

The Israelites left Egypt on the 15th day of Nisan or the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. They arrived at Mt. Sinai 50 days later to receive the Torah from ADONAI. - Exodus 19:1-2

This Shavuot could bring the Israelites the revelation of their Messiah, Jesus Christ whom they missed for centuries. Now they can receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, latter rain, of the last days as foretold in Joel 2:28-29.

New Testament History of Shavuot

Acts 2:1-4
Could Acts 2 be the fulfillment of Ezekiel 1?
Ezek 1:4, 13

The Two Loaves of Bread

Ruth and Esther Symbolize the Two Loaves in the Tanakh.

Ruth was a Gentile and Esther was a Jew, so here is represented the Bride of Christ and the 5 wise bridesmaids of Matthew 25 which are Israel. Israel is betrothed to Yahweh God and is not part of the Bride of Christ but attend her wedding as friends, and are welcomed into the wedding feast because they recognized their Messiah and are saved from the Tribulation hour. I've heard other doves point out that one loaf is the Jews and the other is the Gentiles, both with leaven but the fire of baking kills the leaven, and thus without sin through the blood of Christ they are waved before God as an offering. I think this sheds even more light onto the truth of that.

The story of Ruth is read on Shavuot. It takes place during the barley harvest, the first crop of Israel and the softest grain. She became the wife of a “kinsman redeemer which is like Jesus in that he paid a price for her and made her part of the family of Israel. Barley is tossed up in the air and the wind bows the chaff away. We who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit allow the wind of the Spirit to blow the chaff off of our hearts.

Hanokh and Yesha'Yahu Symbolize the Two Olive Trees and the Two Menorahs in the Tanakh and the B'rit Chadeshah.

Not sure how Isaiah fits in, but Enoch and Elijah or Moses and Elijah will most likely be the 2 witnesses spoken of in Rev 11. They would come down sometime after the rapture to begin their 1260 day witness.

Zechariah 4: 11-14
Revelation 11:3-13

On the day that ADONAI poured out the Ruach HaKodesh He said -

Isaiah 59:20-21
Joel 2: 28- 29 (3:1- 2)

Yeshua IS the fulfillment of Shavuot -

Proverbs 30: 4
Isaiah 48: 12-17
Deuteronomy (D'varim) 6: 4
John 14: 1-31

Since God is ONE and Yeshua IS God; God the Father sending the Ruach HaKodesh in the name of Yeshua and HE FULFILLS Shavuot!

Not sure how the Spirit coming down on Shavuot fulfills a feast that has the wave loaves going up. Maybe I lack the knowledge to reach this conclusion. I can see how Moses coming down with the torah coincides with the Spirit coming down – but Moses hadd to go up and receive so that the law could come down. Jesus had to ascend so that the early rain could begin. The Bride must ascend so that the latter rain can begin. The rapture marks the end of the age of grace and a return to the law; what better time than the very day the law was first received?
