"The Third Jesus"
John and Doves, I put up a post a few days ago about "The Shift" movie. One of the presenters in the video was Deepak Chopra. I received an advertisement in the mail today from "One Spirit, Resources for the Spirit, Mind, and Body" (I am on everyone's sucker list :) )One of the books offered is "The Third Jesus" by Deepak Chopra. I want to pass on the entire speel: "Deepak Chopra searches for the Christ who stands at the heart of Christianity...and discovers that the identity of Jesus is threefold: First, there is the Jesus the man, who lived over 2,000 years ago. Secondly, there is Jesus the Son of God, who represents a specific branch of religion. Finally, the Third Jesus - the radical, mystical teacher who embraced all of humanity. The Third Jesus is not rigidly sectarian. Rather, he falls into the world tradition of spirituality. This Jesus speaks for peace and love; his morality includes all peoples; his Father is a universal diety. "As a child in India, I was well acquainted with the Third Jesus," says Chopra. "I could love and revere him. He raises human nature to its highest ideal...." (end of speel)Such deception, and so subtle. The serpent is still beguiling man.If Isaac Jordan is reading this, I wanted to relate how I came to post on "The Shift" movie. I don't follow movies. I had just finished reading a book of fiction entitled "The Fencing Master," as I am a fencer. On the cover of the book was a neat photo collage, and the credits listed Christopher Allingham as one of the photographers. When I Googled him, among the list was his work on this movie entitled "The Shift." It caught my eye, and ended up on the Doves. Isn't it neat how the Lord guides our paths.Blessings to you all,Sharon Kaiser
