"Re: Ola and Tabernacles/Return of Christ Priority"

Dear Ola, John and Doves,

I stand corrected, indeed the next to last sentence of chapter 6 does reference Pastor Buck as having a pre-trib position.

However there is still no clear indication that "Gabriel" was referring to the Harpazo.  In fact the text describing this priority includes what we would consider Second Coming and post events. Pastor Buck  opens with the statement: "God is telling us to prepare for that great day! For those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, it will be glory!"  That "day" he is referring to is the Great White  Throne Judgment which occurs after the Second Coming and not the Believer's Judgment.

He continues on  pg 82 where he cites 1 Thes 3:12-13 which is a Second Coming citation and Rev. 20:11-15 which occurs just after the Second Coming. The Acts 1:10-11 reference is also a Second Coming reference referring to when Christ steps foot on the Mt. of Olives. . He ends the Seventh Priority (Return of Jesus) discussion  with 2 post Millennial references from Rev 21:10-11 and Rev 21: 22-27. No verses offered are  from what we would consider referencing Rapture/Harpazo texts.

On pg 88 where he again discusses the Seventh Priority PB opens with the statement : "The desire of God is that we live with him forever and forever."  The emphasis lies on our eternal cohabitation with God and not on the short term issue of whether this priority is represented in the Second Coming or the Harpazo.  In fact my feeling is that if Pastor Buck left with the understanding that a future Feast of Tabernacles  would have been the ultimate day of fulfillment he would have said so. He devotes the closing chapter of the book Ch 14 to "He is Coming Again!" .  He reiterates we can know the times and seasons, yet does not make a reference to the literal fulfillment of the Second Coming nor Harpazo on that festival.  The scripture verses presented are a mixed bag of Second Coming and  what we consider Harpazo verses.

While some of the priorities have indeed been fulfilled on the indicated festival we have the priority of "Go Tell the World!" (the Great Commission) being connected with the Festival of Trumpets. More of a concept/on-going command than a discreet event.  I MHO it is reading too far into Pastor Buck's words to conclude that the Harpazo or for that natter the Second Coming must occur on a future Tabernacles simply because it is the festival chosen to emphasize God's priority of the Return of Jesus. His writing doesn't state this albeit in our zeal for knowing we may try and make this connection for him.

As far as the tapes go I'll pull out the festival one and see if I can garner any further info from it.  If so, I'll report later.

YSIC.

Hi Sandy,

You said,

"Pastor Buck has no direct references to the Rapture in any of his text or audio. It's not that he holds a post Trib view (I don't know what position he holds), it's just that the issue was not discussed in any of the visitations that he shared in print or thru audio tapes- to my knowledge"

Then what do you understand by the following?

And I quote word for word, from chapter 6 (God's priorities) on page 89 of his book "Angels on Assignment".

http://www.angelsonassignment.org/priorities.html

Beginning of quote.

"This is the last of the seven festivals given to Moses and this priority will bring to completion God's great plan of redemption.
These festivals were so important to God that he had Israel rehearse them every year as a symbol of leaving this world for the seven years of Tribulation judgement. Hallelujah!(emphasis mine)

end of quote.

It is quiet obvious he was referring to the rapture happening seven years before the Great Tribulation. There is simply know other way to understand the above quote.
