"ReignDownUSA"

Dear Doves,

Thanks to all of you who post here and keep us informed and excited in one way or another.  :)

I actually attended one of the on-site gatherings for ReignDownUSA this past Saturday, April 26.  It all started here at 5Doves where I was both informed and reminded of the date.  I had been praying about attending and planned to participate one way or another.  Saturday morning came with all of it’s haste (stuff of earth competing “for the allegiance we owe only to the Giver of all good things” as Rich Mullins penned it) - - but I prayed for the Lord’s leading and opened the Word to a fantastic journey, exploring cross-references and being totally blessed in my study.  Having completely forgotten about my prayer at the beginning of this fantastic journey and wondering at what point I was going to have to stop and press on with my day, the very next reference contained these words:  “Our God reigns!”  I closed my Bible with a thump and felt like I had been thumped!  Alright, ok, uh-huh, amen!

My journey was only an hour or so.  The meeting was held in a high school auditorium and there looked to be 50 people in attendance at most - - this was the only disappointment I felt in the venue.  Most of my friends, fellow believers, were not aware of ReignDownUSA so I was not so surprised at the sparse attendance.

I was thrilled to be with those of like mind in such a noble call for repentance, individually as well as for our nation.  The opening prayer, praise and worship with Michael W. Smith, the proclamation (“America trusts in the abiding power of prayer … recognizes our dependence upon Almighty God…) - - the whole experience for me, was two hours of communion and blessing with the Lord.

Perhaps being there, set apart, made the difference - - so many distractions would have been going on in my own home, I am thankful that the Lord led me to be present where I was.

My report:  ReignDownUSA brought showers of blessing to this daughter of the King.

In His love and mine,

Renee
