Dear Cherise & Doves:
Thanks for throwing some light on the subject of strange animal behavior:

The Pineman’s father lives in an area called the Pinelands. I love visiting out thar where the dear run free and chipmunks can be seen scurrying across the lawn. Of course my mother hates it that all her flowers get eaten up.
My nic “Pineman” was based on a couple of other piney things never realizing till just a few minutes ago I had another significant pine association.
Whether the chirping birds were attracted to the blinding light of a few lamp posts or not is not really the lesson. Nature can sometimes teach us things if we are attuned. After sending in the post I thought about the story’s significance. The story sequence almost resembles a dream and I have been interpreting it as such.
Many people are asleep in the dark. Birds like us are making a lot of noise about the lateness of the hour. In my father’s perception I’ve been making a lot of noise about Salvation, the Rapture and the Tribulation. He’s curious and he’s beginning to realize that I’m part of a larger flock of noisy “birds” trying to awaken people. There are other correspondences also that I’ve been thinking about but I think you get the idea.
