From my studies in history I find 1945 to be the year the fig tree began to sprout leaves. Jews by the tens of thousands arrived that year fleeing the ravages of the holocaust. By 1948 there were almost a million Jews in Palestine. They were strong enough to declare themselves an independent nation and defeat the combined armies of five Arab nations. This year 1945 was also the Sabbatical year after 7 years of WW2 which started in 1939. A tree with almost a million leaves could hardly be thought of as starting to put forth leaves. A 70 year generation will end in the year 2015, and if we backtrack 7 years of Tribulation, we find 2008 to be the year of the rapture most likely this Feast of Trumpets.... Pastor Oliver Thomas
