This is really nothing to worry about nor is it anything significant. I was
an over-the-road Trucker for over 25 years and what these states are doing
is called a "DOT 72 hour Inspection". They do this three times a year. This
is basically to harass the Truckers for no reason. Believe me they are not
pulling truckers over and checking them for safety reasons! This is only to
generate revenue for the state and that is all. They collect millions of
dollars and the media reports what a fine job our officers are doing. I
must add that they do find less than 1/10 of 1% of 1% of truckers who are
the "bad apples" and need to be removed. But it is hardly worth this effort.
